Description

Poems 1934-1944
by Ian Mudie.

Georgian House, Melbourne, 1945.
First Edition hardback.

An essential collection for anyone interested in the literary history of the far right. Includes Mudie’s most famous blood and soil anthem ‘This is Australia’ , with its disturbing last line “sons who shall hold/ that soil as their own flesh, sons who shall be/fanatic and consecrated in their loyalty.”

Condition: Dustjacket is marked and there are small near spine and top edges and inside front flap, as well minor wear to boards. Pages are clean and unmarked, the book, overall, in good condition for its age.
