Catherine Helen Spence’s last novel about an isolated feminist colony of Scots in Colombia was rejected in 1879 as too radical and dangerous to the institution of marriage. Handfasted was not until published until this edition by Penguin in 1984.

Condition: Slightly knocked corners and tanned page edges, otherwise in very good condition.
