‘Jas H Duke, one of Australia’s most famous Sound Poets, was born in Ballarat in 1939. He started writing in the ’60s while circulating in the ‘politico-psychedelic’ underground. From then, until his sudden death in 1992, he was actively involved with poetry performance and publishing in Melbourne. He managed to turn his stutter into an asset in his readings; this program features recordings of him performing his often surreal works.’
– ‘Poetica’, Radio National, 13 November 2004.
Condition: Printed on thick, heavy paper with the CD attached in sleeve inside back cover has led to slight warping of back pages. There is also a mark to bottom pages edges and light discolouration to outer page edges. Overall, in very good condition.
