Description

Redheap
by Norman Lindsay.

Humour Books Edition (Ure Smith), Sydney, 1966.
Reprint, paperback.

Cover Design by Wally Jex.

Lindsay’s satire on Australian anti-intellectualism, wozerism and small-town life. Readheap was originally published by the UK firm Faber and Faber in 1930 and banned entry into Australia that same year for obscenity when copies were sensationally seized by Australian customs officers. It was not until 1959 that Ure Smith published the first Australian edition.

Condition: Watermark bottom right-hand corner and slight curl right top corner of cover and light tanning to pages, otherwise in very good condition.
